Some ways you can improve your productivity is ...
- You must keep calm while you ( or your employees ) are getting a job done or working on something. If you get nervous, that may result you ( and your employees ) in a frustrated mood and one thing leads to another and your job isn't done as well as it could be.
- You must have a little fun while doing some work because if you don’t, you may get bored and slow down. Remember, fun only goes to an extent, your boss or your employees won't appreciate you fooling around.
- Keep it simple. Don't make a task seem complicated when it's simple.
- For complicated assignments, break down one big task into smaller tasks. For example, if you have a big paper due in week, do parts of the assignment every day. On last day, make sure to have time where you can check everything and make sure your paper is just the way you want it to be.
- If you complete your work early, then help out other people get their work done. Helping out others is a big part of being in a business, it creates a connection between employees and bosses. To look at it through another window, your fellow employees will finish their work quicker and you can hang out with them and have fun.
- If you get assigned a big task that you think you can't get done or you don't understand a part of , don't be hesitant to ask for some help.
- Create a to-do list. To be as a organized as possible create two lists, name one Must Do and the other
- May Do. These lists will make sure that you finish what you need to get done that day ( i.e. a report due the next day ) and what you need to get done in a long time ( i.e. a google docs presentation due two weeks from today ).
- Create a schedule for the week, so you know what appointments you have, and time where you can relax.
- Don't watch too much TV. Watching too much can slow down your productivity at work the next day.
- Set daily goals. Make sure that they are realistic, if you make them far fetched.
- You can reward yourself when completing a goal that may have been a it more challenging. For example you can reward yourself by watching an episode of your favorite tv show
- At the end of each day spend some time working on planning out the next day's routine
- Get to sleep early and wake up early so that you can have a calm sit down breakfast without rushing off to work.
- DO NOT multitask. This will get your work done slower if you do. Multiple studies show that multitasking can actually WASTE 20-40 percent of your time. This is because when you start something and don't finish it then you go onto something else and go back to the first thing you have to get back on track and remember where you left off.
- Get some plants. Scientific studies show that having plants in your work environment can increase productivity and decrease laziness. More oxygen in the brain results more work getting done and faster.
